Brazilian born and raised, currently based in Japan working as a freelance graphic designer and illustrator.
I have always had a passion for drawing, fashion illustration in special, but I was encouraged to keep it as a hobby in order to make a living.
After graduating from Universidade Mackenzie in Industrial Design (focused on visual communication) I took drawing, illustration and comic-book courses at Fabrica de Quadrinhos (now Quanta academia de artes) .
In Japan I've taken some sketching courses and I started studying sumie seven years ago. Coco Chanel , who I have great admiration, used to say "less is always more" and in a way it embodies sumie main proposal to portray the essence of the subject with just a few strokes, and mainly in black ink with gradations.
In 2017 I did an UAL online fashion illustration course and it consolidated my desire to follow my bliss and be a fashion illustrator.
Besides illustration I'm also interested in fashion history, taking some fashion courses out of curiosity on online platforms like Futurelearn, Coursera and Kadenze.
