1a - When did you first get into drawing?
When I was 2! Drawing on the walls much to my parents annoyance.
1b - Why did you choose to make fashion part of your inspiration?
From a very early age I was drawing fashion-based images of girls in clothes. I still have some of those childhood drawings. Later I went to fashion college, it was always my dream to work in the fashion industry.
2 - What is your particular working day as a creative?
I have been a fashion designer for 25 years for so most days I’m designing, fitting garments or researching trends. I use my spare time to practice my fashion art, work on projects, update my website or attend life drawing classes.
3 - What tools do you use when creating your images? I usually start with water soluble pencil and build up the images with pastel and acrylic, sometimes metallic ink. I am also experimenting with digitally manipulating hand sketches.
4 - Who are what has influenced you over the years as an artist?
Andy Warhol, Egon Schiele, Bil
Donovan, Jacky Blue, Jill Button, Kenneth Paul Block, Erickson, The Bloomsbury Group, Picasso… and many other Fida artists.
5 - What advice do you have for younger artists looking to be part of this industry?
Go to art galleries!! Try to focus on forming your own style through regular sketch practice, don’t look at too much on Instagram. Do life drawing whenever possible and take a good course every now and again, preferably by an artist you admire.
6 - What are you drawing today?
Something from the Paris Couture shows. Music are you listening to? Bonobo. Books that you are reading? Vivienne Westwood biography and Virginia Woolf. Favourite artist/designer at the moment? Dries, Jil Sander, Colville, Celine, Margiela, Raey and Gabriela Hearst. Too many to mention!

Looking through art books of the old masters and their drawing studies is always a huge inspiration.

I ́m currently working on a private work, it ́s inspired by my journey as an artist, featuring a creation from the MSGM Spring ́23 collection.

Currently I ́m kinda obsessed with Jefferson Airplane ́s ́White Rabbit ́, but there ́s also a lot of The Foo Fighters, Sufjan Stevens, Angelo De Augustine, Florence + The Machine & Lil Nas X at the moment.
