Biography
Maria Zet Nova is a Dubai-based fashion, live event, and wedding illustrator working at the intersection of couture, luxury brands, and contemporary fine art.
With a Fine Arts School background and a degree in Fashion Design earned in Russia, Maria developed an early sensitivity to silhouette, movement, and fabric—elements that continue to shape her visual language. She is a winner and finalist of multiple international fashion competitions, and her work has been recognized by leading industry platforms, including Top 5 Live Event Illustrator at the FIDA Awards 2025 and Top 5 Dubai Fashion Illustrator by Harper’s Bazaar Arabia.
Her illustrations are defined by fluid linework, expressive watercolor, and refined mixed-media techniques, translating fashion into an emotional, editorial narrative. While watercolor remains her signature medium, Maria also works with acrylics and layered mixed media to explore texture, light, and materiality.
She has been commissioned by prestigious luxury houses including GUCCI, Bulgari, Tiffany & Co., BOSS, David Morris, Jacob & Co., Bloomingdale’s, and Harvey Nichols, and has illustrated live at landmark events such as Expo 2020 Dubai, Formula 1 Grand Prix, and the Forbes 30/50 Summit.
Balancing artistic poetry with fashion precision, Maria creates illustrations that elevate moments into timeless visual stories—refined, feminine, and unmistakably couture.
