When did you first get into drawing?
I started drawing when I was a little child and never stopped. Princesses and Disney characters were my favourites.
Why did you choose to make fashion part of your inspiration?
I don't think it was a decision I've made, It all developed very naturally. I've always been a huge fan of Vogue, even as a child, so I grew up with fashion editorials and that must have influenced what I wanted to create. In my works I want to tell stories and fashion can wonderfully intensify and support the narrative.
What is your particular working day as a creative?
When I start a new project, I ́m getting all of my inspiration pics together, various reference pictures of different faces and then I start drawing. When I have a particular idea, what I want to illustrate, I make a quick rough sketch, but I usually don ́t do any sketches but let it flow.
Part of having a creative job is also client acquisition, maintenance of my website and social media accounts.
What tools do you use when creating your images?
I draw manually with pencils on paper. Then I scan it and usually colour it digitally with Photoshop. For the background I love to use vintage papers, like old maps or manually coloured textures.
But I also love to paint with watercolours.
Who or what influenced you over the years as an artist?
I ́m inspired by everything, it can be nature, movies, interior, music, books,...
Looking through art books of the old masters and their drawing studies is always a huge inspiration.
What advice do you have for younger artists looking to be a part of this industry?
Be persistent! Be aware that there are a lot of rejections, so you must believe in yourself and what you ́re doing.
What are you drawing today?
I ́m currently working on a private work, it ́s inspired by my journey as an artist, featuring a creation from the MSGM Spring ́23 collection.
Music you are listening to?
Currently I ́m kinda obsessed with Jefferson Airplane ́s ́White Rabbit ́, but there ́s also a lot of The Foo Fighters, Sufjan Stevens, Angelo De Augustine, Florence + The Machine & Lil Nas X at the moment.
